Car rental payments

Can I see the price of the vehicle before making the reservation?

Yes you can see the price of the vehicle before the booking, just enter the solicited information on the website and it will show you the prices according to the chosen group and chosen extras.

Are there any extra charges for picking up a vehicle at one of your coastal offices and returning to Malaga airport?

If the rental period is for 7 days or more you can pick up a car from one of our local offices and return the car back to Malaga airport/train station or vice versa free of charge, If the rental period is less than 7 days you will be charged 30€ in concept of one way charge.

Do I have to pay for the fuel in my vehicle?

You will receive the vehicle with a quantity of fuel that will be between 1/4 of the tank and the whole tank. At the end of the rental contract, the amount of fuel in the tank must be the same as at the time of collection.

If the amount of fuel is less, you will have to pay for the difference in fuel.

Coverage of the car and attention on the road

What insurance is included in the price?

All our cars have basic insurance with third party damages and an excess that will vary depending on the group requested.

This insurance does not cover the vehicle’s wheels or windows. Similarly, the cover will be cancelled if the vehicle is misused.

Can I get an additional insurance that covers the excess?

Yes, it is possible to take out full comprehensive insurance by paying a daily extra depending on the rental rate and the vehicle model or by choosing our Full Pack rate which already includes comprehensive insurance without excess in the price.

The fully comprehensive insurance without excess does not include:

  • Wheels (rims and tyres), underbody of the vehicle and loss or breakage of keys.
  • Vehicle interior.
  • Damage to the engine due to negligence.
  • Misuse of the vehicle.
  • Damage caused by a driver other than the one named in the contract.

Do I have 24h road assistance?

Our company offers roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, regardless of the type of insurance contracted with the rental.

The Basic rate does not include the price of this assistance in the price so if you need assistance at any time during your rental, you will have to pay the costs of the same.

The Full Pack rate, on the other hand, has roadside assistance included and therefore, in case you need it, it will not involve additional costs.

How many drivers are allowed to drive?

The number of drivers included varies according to the type of tariff:

The Basic rate includes 1 driver in the contract.
The Full Pack rate includes 2 drivers.

The additional price for each extra driver is €3 per day up to a maximum of €24 (for the first 8 days).

What is the minimum age to rent a car?

The minimum age for renting a car is 21 years old with one year of driving license.

Can I drive outside of Spain?

Bahia Sexi’s vehicles can only move freely in Spain . You cannot drive to in the cities of Ceuta and Melilla.

Cancellations and modifications

What do I do if I need to cancel my booking and it will cost me anything?

You may cancel your reservation at no additional cost as long as the cancellation is made within the last 48 hours prior to collection of the vehicle.

If, on the other hand, the cancellation is made during the 48 hours prior to collection of the vehicle, no refund will be made.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

If your flight is delayed, there is no need to worry, our staff will check your flight and know exactly what time it lands.

If, on the other hand, your flight suffers a major change, you will need to inform our staff on +34 664 280 733. In this case it is possible that the price of your booking may be slightly altered according to the new rental conditions.

What Vehicle will I be Provided with?

All bookings are made under a category, within this category we can provide different models, we cannot guarantee a certain model but can guarantee you will be provided with a vehicle with the chosen characteristics, if for unforeseen circumstances we cannot provide you with a vehicle from the chosen category we will supply you with a superior group at no extra cost.

Pick-Up & Drop-off of the rental vehicle

Can I collect my vehicle out of your work hours?

Yes, you can pre book your vehicle out of hours but you will be charged 25€ per car in concept of out of hours.

What if I return my car AFTER the pre agreed time on the contract?

In the event that you return the car after the pre-agreed time on the car rental contract you will be charged with an additional day according to your car class.

What if I return my car BEFORE the pre agreed time on the contract?

We will not refund in any case the money corresponding to the remaining time. A discount voucher will be provided with the amount of money to be used in the next rental

Where to pick up my vehicle at Malaga Airport and Malaga Train station Renfe?

At Bahia Sexi Rent a Car we offer our clients a personalised welcome service. A representative of our team will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall.

First of all, after landing, it is necessary that you contact our staff on +34 664 280 733. Our colleagues will give you the indications to make the meeting as easy and quick as possible. Malaga airport frequently changes the rules for car rental companies, the purpose of this call is that our staff will provide you with the directions that are currently in force.

After receiving this call, our colleague will be waiting for you at the exit of the arrivals hall to guide you to the courtesy vehicle with which you will travel to our office at Malaga Airport. The duration of this journey is approximately 5 minutes.

Once at the office, the rental contract will be finalised and the vehicle will be handed over to you.

If, on the other hand, you arrive by train at María Zambrano station, our staff will be waiting for you at your departure with our courtesy vehicle to take you to our office at Malaga Airport. In this case the journey takes about 15 minutes but it may vary depending on traffic.

What opening hours do you have at Malaga airport and Renfe?

Monday to Sunday from 08:00 to 20:45.

Where do I return My car at Malaga airport?

If in your rental contract you decide to return the car at Malaga airport, you must deliver it to our office located at the following address: C/Newton 42.

Once the relevant checks have been carried out, a member of our staff will take you to Malaga airport or Maria Zambrano station.

What happens if I return my car after the time stated in the contract?

In the event of a late return, an additional day’s charge will be made, depending on the type of car hired.

What happens if I leave the car somewhere other than the drop-off point?

In the previous question, the place of return of the rental car is specified. However, if for any reason the vehicle is returned to another location than the specified in the contract, for example: airport parking lot or towed by the tow truck, these costs will be added to the rental price in addition to a penalty of 50€
