About Fuengirola
Fuengirola is a coastal town and municipality in the province of Málaga. It is located on the central coast of the province and is part of the Western Costa del Sol region.
It was founded by the Phoenicians although Romans, Byzantines, Visigoths and Moors also passed through Fuengirola. Until in 1485 it joined the Crown of Castile. It became a municipality after being segregated from Mijas in 1841, still being a small fishing village.

The coastal strip of Fuengirola is generally low, with an altitude ranging between 0 and 5 meters above sea level, except for some neighborhoods in the northern area.

The old part of the city is around the Plaza de la Constitución. To the north is the old fishermen’s quarter of Los Boliches.

Weather
